News Channel 5 KSDK featured the Royals in a segment in 2010 in the week before the team headed to Glendale, Colorado for the USA Rugby National Championship Series Final Four. The team inched out a victory over Cedar Rapids, IA in the first round of semi-finals 24-21 with a last-minute try in bonus time to advance to play OMBAC (Old Mission Bay Athletic Club) in the championship game. Unfortunately the boys in blue were outdone by the formerly Division 1 club from San Diego, and lost a hard-fought game to become the #2 team in USA Rugby Division 3 Men’s Club Rugby.
